Testimonials - Digestion - Laminitis - GastroPLUS - NitrOxide

Sparkles.jpgThis is "Sparkles", a little pony mare I rescued. Top picture is day she arrived and bottom is 3 weeks later after 2 weeks on GastroPLUS. (More Case Studies…)

She spent the first week on antibiotics and fluids, IV, and even just oral dosing every few hours round the clock. The treating veterinarian gave her a very poor prognosis. He diagnosed liver disease, kidney disease, going into kidney failure, severe pneumonia, COPD, chronic laminitis, severe arthritis (that little front leg of her's is bent that way), a skin condition, infection in her jaw, and probable ulcers and Cushings, he also suspected liver cancer and bone cancer.

He did not want her to begin the products right away as he felt she was so unstable anything may put her into heart or complete renal failure, so he wanted to stabilize her first. He recommended plasma and whole blood transfusions, but she would need to make to 4+ hours trip to the university. He also felt certain she would not survive the trip, so I took her home and began caring for her here.

After 7 days on antibiotics and the fluids with her still refusing to eat or drink, I felt we had no choice and I put her on GastroPLUS. By that evening she was showing an interest in her feed and the next day was eating on her own. Her chronic fever dropped to normal and she just continued to recover. I used different products on her to address all of her issues in turn and now over 2 years later she is still with us, bright eyed and bushy tailed and quite a happy soul. I have had numerous blood panels run and she is certainly due for another.

But the vet is extremely impressed by what your products did to save this ponies life. Any signs of cancer, liver disease and kidney disease all disappeared. Her lung function is normal, (she could not breathe to walk even a few feet when she arrived). Her skin condition cleared right up and laminitis was resolved with 4 brand new little feet, with no signs of laminitis.

Her last blood panel taken in April showed a very low wbc, which has been a chronic issue, and the vet considered it is possibly due to true Cushings with the tumor causing an excessive release of cortisol. So, I put her back onto GastroPLUS to nutritionally address her GI, as Cushings causes a compromised GI, and I also put her on NitrOxide to help regulate the excess in cortisol.

She is looking even brighter and happier on this regimen, so we are extremely pleased.
